‘See how we’ve grown: 20 years of webuyanycar’

With our 20th anniversary on 2nd March 2026 fast approaching, we take a brief trip back to our very first TV ad, complete with a breakdancing newsreader, which aired all the way back in 2009! (Don’t remember it? Ask an older relative or colleague.)

Fast forward to the present and we see how our ads have changed, as Martin visits his local webuyanycar branch to sell his car. Our new ads have less fancy footwork; they’re all about showing how easy car selling can be.

We’ve grown a lot since the early days, having served over 4.5 million customers and opened more than 500 branch locations across the UK!

However, our original goal, to make car selling simple and hassle-free has remained unchanged since day one.

‘Part-exchange vs. Cash in the bank’ with Kelsey and Reece

Kelsey and Reece want to swap their hatchback for a dream campervan.

Unfortunately, when they ask about a part-exchange at their local dealership, the salesman combines both transactions to make a very confusing deal.

Then, we flip over to the simple side of selling. Kelsey and Reese meet a friendly webuyanycar buyer who offers them more cash for their motor, without the headache.

‘Private sale vs. Value my time’ with Gus, Ruby, and Sarah
