The Frankfurt Motor Show has recently been mentioned in the blog. With it well underway, there has been a definite theme appear amongst the cars being unveiled.
This year, car manufacturers are unveiling a good mix of cars from hyper-sport to speedy hatchbacks. Interestingly, there is also an unusual theme in announcements which seems to be SUVs.
Brands seem to be stepping out of their comfort zone and expanding their car portfolios in areas that they have never ventured before.
It appears that the likes of Jaguar, Lamborghini and Bentley have all had the same thoughts process when introducing new models. They’re all adding luxury SUV’s to their list, Range Rover suddenly have a lot of competition on the way.
Jaguar has unveiled its first ever SUV model named the F-Pace, keeping their sport/executive styling.
Bentley has debuted the Bentagya which brings two elements together, luxury and off-road. In their own words “most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world”.
Although this was a few months back, we still think it’s important to take note of Lamborghini past announcement, the Lamborghini Urus.
Although not a newcomer to the SUV world, Audi has even unveiled that they plan to launch an electric 4×4 in 2018, with a full charge getting a massive 310 miles (it doesn’t look too bad either). Perhaps the days of fuel guzzling SUVs may be coming to an end.
