You can always rely on America for a crazy car story and this has got to be one of the funniest arrests we’ve seen for a long while. It’s more Toys-R-Us than Police-Camera-Action.
The man was in trouble for suspected credit card abuse, but when local law enforcement were sent to his address he was found cruising around in a child’s electric car.
It’s not clear whether the picture was taken after a high speed pursuit, but police in San Jacinto County, Texas must have seen the funny side when they allowed a bystander to snap this photo on their phone.
Apparently the assailant, David Schumaker, has been using the pink Power Wheels electric car as his runaround, despite the fact it looks like it might be a bit of a tight squeeze to get in the one front seat.
Local police confirmed the story adding:
‘We were just as surprised when the report turned out to be spot on.
‘Someone who was passing took the picture and it has caused a lot of amusement.’
Apparently the car has now changed hands, looks like we missed out there, one previous owner, low mileage and still in great condition!
