Selling your car at our Lakeside branch

Our Lakeside branch is located in the Retail Park of the Lakeside shopping complex, and is just minutes from junction 30/31 of the M25 and the Dartford crossing. Based in the Carcraft building, we are both easy to find and have ample free parking. Relax in our comfortable offices whilst we take care of your car and payment. To celebrate your hassle free sale perhaps treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy, a bite to eat then catch the latest blockbuster.

• Leave the M1 at junction 30/31 and follow signs for Lakeside Retail Park and West Thurrock
• Keep left on exiting the junction as the right hand lane leads onto the QE2 bridge
• At the roundabout and traffic signals, take the 1st exit turning left
• After 500 yards and with Decathlon on your right, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout
• This will lead you down the hill into the Lakeside Retail Park
• At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit
• In 100 yards, take a left
• Half a mile down the road on the right hand side is the Carcraft building

What happens when I arrive to sell my car?

You'll usually be met by Lauren Muscat, who manages our Lakeside branch.  Lauren will firstly check your documentation to ensure you have the correct documents and proofs of identity and will then conduct a short inspection of your car to check its condition.  This usually takes around ten minutes. You can accompany Lauren while your car is given the once over.

How will I be able to get home once I've sold my car?

Most customers bring a friend or relative along to give them a lift home but if you need to use public transport, you'll be pleased to know that there are plenty of options.

• Taxi - Lauren will be happy to arrange for a local taxi firm to collect you
• Train - Chafford Hundred train station is a 10 minute walk from our branch
• Bus - Lakeside shopping centre has a huge bus station with many services

Once I've sold my car, when will I receive my money?

All of our payments are made by electronic bank transfer for security reasons - it's simply not safe or practical to pay by cash!  Our standard payment service is BACS which takes 3-4 working days.  Alternatively, we can arrange a CHAPS payment.  With CHAPS, the money will clear into your bank account on the next working day.  This is a popular service and attracts a small fee to cover the additional bank charges involved.
