Selling your car at our Edinburgh branch

Our Edinburgh branch is located in the Evans Easy Space units in Newbridge. Fresh coffee and a wonderful vinyl collection to choose from make your visit a comfortable one. • From the Newbridge Roundabout, take the B7030 exit towards Newbridge
• Turn left at The Garage onto B7030/Cliftonhall Road
• Follow the road up past Speedy Hire on your left
• Take the next turning on the left signposted Edinburgh Canal Centre and Ratho
• As soon as you turn onto Harvest Road, our office is immediately on the left
• If you go under the bridge, you have gone too far!

What happens when I arrive to sell my car?

You'll usually be met by Michael Pratt, who manages our Edinburgh branch.  Michael will firstly check your documentation to ensure you have the correct documents and proofs of identity and will then conduct a short inspection of your car to check its condition.  This usually takes around ten minutes. You can accompany Michael while your car is given the once over.

How will I be able to get home once I've sold my car?

Most customers bring a friend or relative along to give them a lift home but if you need to use public transport, you'll be pleased to know that there are plenty of options.

• Taxi - Michael will be happy to arrange for a local taxi firm to collect you
• Train - Haymarket Train Station is approximately 7miles from our branch
• Bus - Just 2 minutes walk will take you to services running to the west and into Edinburgh

Once I've sold my car, when will I receive my money?

All of our payments are made by electronic bank transfer for security reasons - it's simply not safe or practical to pay by cash!  Our standard payment service is BACS which takes 3-4 working days.  Alternatively, we can arrange a CHAPS payment.  With CHAPS, the money will clear into your bank account on the next working day.  This is a popular service and attracts a small fee to cover the additional bank charges involved.
