Used car values finally on the rise - how much is yours worth? |
Latest figures reveal that after three months of falling prices, December saw an average rise of 4.8% in the value of used cars. In the final month of 2009, the average selling price of a used car was £6,188, up by a healthy £285 on November figures. Strong prices are likely to remain until the first of March when the new '10' plates are issued. So if you've been sitting on that car waiting for things to look a little rosier, now could be a great time to cash in. Likewise, with the average part exchange value down by £100 in the same period, selling your car could prove to be a better option if you're shopping for something else. Dealers are often slow to pass on the benefits of increased market values to their customers. Either way, you can count on webuyanycar.com for a fast, free valuation and no hassle sale! |

Forking out on new '10' plates? We can help |
![]() |
This March sees the new decade's first registration plate change with the launch of the '10' plate. If you're in the market for a showroom fresh car, however, you may want to consider visiting webuyanycar.com before your local dealership. With a cash deposit, you could well be able to negotiate a better than part exchange deal. Many manufacturers simply wrap up existing discounts into your part exchange anyway - or are unable to give an accurate valuation on a make they don't specialise in. So if you want to get a new plate for less, you might want to get a free valuation from webuyanycar.com before signing along the dotted line. |

Need a Valentine's gift? Here's food for thought... |
With Valentine's Day nearly upon us, you may well be wondering what gift to get the car lover in your life. Well, whilst we obviously don't recommend trying this at home, a Chinese car company provided some food for thought. To celebrate February 14th, they dipped an entire VW Beetle in 440lbs of chocolate, topped it off with candy-coated messages of love and put it on display outside a local grocery store. Ahhh, isn't that sweet? |

Web-enabled cars to hit the super highway |
![]() |
Cruising the information super-highway is about to get a lot easier for many drivers. Both Audi and Ford are on the verge of introducing web-enabled vehicles that will allow the driver to surf, email and Skype from inside the car. By turning the car into a mobile hot-spot, manufacturers will allow car owners to work, shop and network from their vehicles. Using a touch-screen console embedded in the dash, users will be able to browse by connecting to the driver's phone via Bluetooth or via a dongle (mobile modem) plugged into a USB port. Audi look to be first out of the blocks with a web enabled A8 saloon, having already partnered up with Google to ensure complete online compatibility. On a safety note, drivers will only be able to browse when stationery, although passengers can surf using a laptop during the journey. So whilst you're driving, your partner can do the week's shopping and the kids can catch up on Facebook. What next, the Apple iCar? |

UK workers celebrate MG's homecoming |
One of the UK's most iconic motoring brands is about to make a welcome return home. MG, now owned by the Chinese firm SAIC Motor Corporation, is set once again to go into production at the old Rover plant in Longbridge towards the end of the year. It's great news for car workers in the area who lost their jobs when Rover went into administration back in 2005. Whilst the new owners have made MG cars for sale in China, the move marks their first foray into the European car market - and the latest chapter in a story that started as long ago as 1924 when MG very first went into production. |
