Turn your car into a Christmas bonus

Turn your car into a Christmas bonus

If you've been thinking about selling that car, now could be a really good time to do it.  Besides giving yourself a handy Christmas cash bonus, your car could fetch a better price than before.  With the extension of the scrappage scheme, there are fewer previously-owned cars in the market than ever - causing an increase in demand.  The result?  Great prices for used cars.

So if you're after some extra cash this Christmas (and who isn't?) then get another FREE valuation from webuyanycar.com right away.

Great time to grab a non part-ex discount

Looking to buy a newer car?  Instead of part-exchanging, you could get a much better deal if you sell your old car and negotiate a discount instead.  This time of year being traditionally quiet for many car showrooms means that dealerships are more open to reducing prices to keep stock moving.

Rather than part-exchange, why not sell to webuyanycar.com instead and use the cash to put yourself in a great position to bag a bargain on your newer car in the last couple of weeks of 2009?

VAT increase set to strike in more ways than one

Petrol prices set to rise even further

Just in case you were unsure about selling your car in the run up to Christmas, news just in may help make up your mind. Not only do experts suggest that prices at the fuel pumps are ready to go past £1.10 a litre in time for Christmas, with the impending increase in VAT back to 17.5% it's not just petrol prices set to rise.

According to industry sources the average price of a new motor will rise by more than £350 and if you're buying a new Aston Martin the price increase is over a whopping £2,000. However if you pay for your new car in full before the end of the year you can take advantage of the lower VAT rate, even if you do not take delivery of it this side of 2010. So if you're thinking of a new car, now's a great time to buy. Negotiate the best deal on your new car by selling your current car to webuyanycar.com.

Fill up Mitsubishi's electric friend for just 96p!

On a cheerier note, Mitsubishi is about to launch its first production-line all electric car in the UK. Even better, the i-MiEV can be fully charged for just 96p. Yes you read that correctly, 96p! Yet the bright sparks at Mitsubishi have still managed to produce a car that reaches a top speed of 81 miles per hour, carries four people plus luggage and has a range of 100 miles.

The mould-breaking city car has been a sell out in its native Japan, with only 25 models available in the UK as part of a Coventry based Government trial. Lucky owners will be able to charge up from a normal three point plug instead of suffering a pain in the wallet at the pumps. The rest of us will have to wait until October 2010 when the car goes into European production.

Vintage Morris Traveller beats scrappage fate

Vintage Morris Traveller beats scrappage fate

Whilst the scrappage scheme has been a success for many new car dealers, it has seen the used car stock decimated as thousands of vehicles go to the crusher. For Hyundai UK and its Chelmsford dealer, however, that was too cruel a fate for a vintage 1967 Morris Minor Traveller handed in under the scheme. Instead, they bought the car for £2,100 with the intention of putting it up for auction for Children in Need.

To reassure buyers, the car was given a thorough examination by an expert from the Morris Minor Owners' Club who provided a good bill of health. One lucky eBay bidder will have the car transported free of charge in sparkling condition thanks to a complimentary valet.
